Len Short, LotLinx, at Driving Sales, how are you doing, man?

Len Short:
Good Kelly.. Thanks for having me here.

Kelly Kleinman:
Good to finally meet you. We did our podcast together and it’s good to see you in person. So why does LotLinx play a significant role in reducing the costs of aging inventory or what we call a lot rot.

Len Short:
So, you know, our whole model is built around being a dealer, being able to identify a set of inventory that he needs to sell, either to gain more margin, to meet a manufacturer stair step, you know, or to clear units that are costing him cost. And so we’re the only thing that allows a dealer to build a inventory specific strategy and then execute a campaign and the VIN level. So most of what happens in advertising is people choose a channel they put money into a channel targeting consumers. And then it kind of trickles down, you know, onto the lot and it does it very unevenly. So you can’t really manage what you’re getting out of a a campaign on the VIN level. So it you know, and what we see a lot is most of the effect is on the VINs that are moving along just fine. Those are the quick candy, the stuff that gets engaged at a higher rate. You know, that’s the stuff you don’t need as much help with. And you certainly don’t need to spend your advertising resources against moving that. You need to be able to strategically target the inventory that’s a challenge. And that’s been our sort of secret sauce or our big point of differentiation. And that’s what keeps dealers very connected with our platform.

Kelly Kleinman:
Jason, thanks for joining us here on our little podcast venture today Podium, we’re here at the Driving Sales Convention and we’re going to find out what’s new with Podium moving into 2020, who’s been working with them big time in 2019. They’ve got some familiar features that they’ve added to their overall program. What is it?

Jason:
Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. And happy to chat about it, so most dealers know, we knocked it out the part with the reviews, but this year the second half of 2019 into 2020 we’re really focusing on our communication platform and particularly that the chat aspect of it. And so we’ve just launched partnerships where with BMW and Toyota Digital as part of their digital program, not necessarily just a reputation provider, but as a top provider as well. So yeah, it’s really helping dealerships with consolidation of vendors and with our chat service since we just streamlined it straight to that to the staff members there. I usually say save some money too with doing that.So

Kelly Kleinman:
So you’re expanding out your range of services, which is outstanding. How’s that been received so far?

Jason:
So far? Great Yeah, so far. It’s it’s going really well. I mean, we’re big believers that nobody can take care of your customer the way your own trained sales staff can. So rather than a managed service which has most of the market out there, ours is an in-house for for the dealerships to take care of. And we just get it get it to the staff members really quickly through the Podium app, which if any if any of you have used it, you know very, very easy to use.

Kelly Kleinman:
